I will never forgive Reddit for both creating and ruining a succinct framing device for the criticism of media analysis. Yes, sometimes curtains are just blue, but now all criticism of poorly thought out or overcooked media analysis (especially the dogshit prescribed analysis thrown at kids along with school assigned reading) has this long shadow of internet reaction that’s nearly impossible to escape.

It’s not just Reddit. It’s also tumblr and the generation of middle and high schoolers who used it. Also the fault of some English teachers for only teaching deliberate, explicit symbolism but not explaining the concept of zeitgeist and subconscious in relation to art.

There are so many people who think Brooklyn is some tiny enclave and not practically a large city of its own.

If New York had its boroughs separated into their own cities, at 2.5 million people Brooklyn would become the third largest city in the US after Los Angeles and Chicago.

The bourgeoisie have no problems flaunting their crimes, or they’re stupid or careless enough to let it hang loose on accident. But rarely do they have these elaborate “clues” and “reminders” because they’re too busy ruining the world.

This isn’t a completely baseless idea as there’s a common thread in psychopathy/sociopathy, particularly when associacited with narcisistic personality disorder, of leaving clues that they believe are too cleverly coded for anyone less smart than them to decipher (which is everyone).
This ain’t that though. They didn’t even manage to correctly identify the child - it’s a fully grown “person” with a bag of money for a head.

You’re right, ASPD is the real thing, but most people are familiar with it by those names.

Edit: Just to clarify for casual browsers, psychopathy and sociopathy are not and have never been official diagnoses, though some psychologists have argued for definitions of them. Anti-Social Personality Disorder is the DSM name for all the ideas of psychopathy and sociopathy.

The National Treasure teir “cabal clues hidden in plain site for mega smart conspiracy dweebs to unearth” narrative is my current favorite going into 2024.

I mean the Free Masons literally do this and they freely talk about doing it. If someone thinks they are the bad guys (cause of sex magick or because they founded the UN or whatever), it’s kind of a given that the bad guys do this.

I bet the Freemasons encourage and propagate all the conspiracy theories about them to make themselves look much more mysterious and powerful than they really are. They may have had some influence in previous centuries but it’s just old men LARPing at this point.

Plus they have Lucky Larry literally admitting on video that “we told them to pull it” (about Building 7)

The controller class either enjoy letting people know, or for some reason are required to

you’re not focused on the actual conspiracy, which is that a lot of rich and powerful in the US were hanging out at the same parties as the Saudis who orchestrated this, and there were a lot of suspicious transfers of stocks right before it.

uhhhh yeah that is the conspiracy. Larry Silverstein was the owner of the property, he his wife and his kids all coincidentally didn’t show up for work on 9/11, plus the “pull it” video (among like a million other things)

It’s just that in addition to the very “normal” motivations for conspiracy (making money and political power) there are too many unexplainable things abound (not just 9/11 but other stuff) that it’s kind of impossible for everything to be just a “normal” game of power struggle
