I don’t even want to sift through it to find the worst highlights. It’s just a mix of treating this as a completely normal question and incels gibbering every possible horrible take they could have.

it’s pretty easy to get actual dates with real life people if you don’t vastly overvalue your attractiveness, but most incels think they are Kelce and deserve a Swift.

tbh I suspect many incels are actually just poorly socialized and don’t really talk to people irl

Hard to get dates when the only time you see other people is at work and the grocery store.

My (anecdotal non-professional-psychologist) theory is that a lot of male incels didn’t have much socialization with girls as children. I keep thinking back to my own childhood. Had a best friend in the same social circles, same classes in school, same hobbies and interests, same geographical area, parents in the same socioeconomic group, went to the same church, etc etc etc. But he went the incel route, and I didn’t. The biggest difference between us is that he was an only child with a handful of cousins he rarely saw. I have a younger sister and a lot of female cousins. Between them and their friends, I had plenty of age-appropriate socialization with girls. I remember a lot of occasions when I had tell my friend when he was acting weird around girls.

Poorly socialised, lacking in any personal accomplishments (or struggling to recognise them) and with a huge sense of entitlement.

Mods, ban this freak. They apparently have so many dates they won’t be bothered by it anyway. While I must grovel and pleed both for dates and for users here to stop humble-bragging me into a depressive hole from which there is no escape.

I agree. For what it’s worth, I had a similar outlook personally for a long time because I felt like I should be dating and failing at something. Realizing I was ace and actually just not that into that whole process helped me better value myself too.

but most incels think they are Kelce

I hate incels, but this is just false. The vast majority of white incels clearly either are accutely aware of being unattractive or are actually dysmorphic or have a similar disorder that warps their self-perception negatively. With non-Latino Incels of Color*, it can get a lot harder to parse their self-image because they are likely to (as a matter of incel “culture”) attribute their failings in large part to a racial bias against them. In the same way that a short white incel might identify chiefly as someone fucked over by their height, an Indian or East Asian incel is likely to identify chiefly as someone fucked over by their being Indian or East Asian.

*I have never seen this phrase used, but I would be rightly banned for using the nomenclature that incels usually use for this sort of thing
