    Many prisons in the US south are still working on 1950s-1980s standards. Texan prisons, for instance, still don’t have A/C, don’t have heating, use prison labour, and inmates die very often.

    But I mean, go off Liberal Laura about how the USSR used prison labour and is evil for it, but the US still uses prison labour but is somehow not.

      I just don’t understand how the prison guards justify it to themselves. This is not how people should be treated.

      When all their religious values don’t apply to the people they lock up. That’s settlers for ya, a whole country of people just trying to get theirs, not giving a fuck about anyone but themselves.
