LEL, I never claimed to be Jewish. In fact, when Ayjan offered me a position as moderator I was initially reluctant to accept because I was afraid that people would be uncomfortable with the idea of a gentile moderating a Jewish community.

My head almost hurts trying to understand how what I wrote was antisemitic… I know that some neofascists like to use ‘Zionist’ as a dogwhistle, but it’s very clear from the context that I distinguished between Zionists and Jews. As far as I know, nobody has seriously tried to challenge the facts that I mentioned (poverty among Shoah survivors, mistreatment of Jews of colour, Zionist collaboration with the Fascists, &c.), and I’ve never seen an antisemite even suggest that Zionism harms Jews. I mean, what antisemite would say that? Antisemites don’t typically care if Jews are suffering harm.

As for me being ‘fascist’, the only way that that would make a micron of sense is if somebody laser‐focussed on a time when I mentioned one of the less atrocious aspects of Fascism, such as Fascist Italy’s food self‐sufficiency (to avoid imports, not to feed its citizenry), how the Regio Esercito was usually nonviolent against European Jews (but not North African Jews), how the Gestapo was neither absurdly massive nor draconian (but ordinary citizens could be very helpful, and the Gestapo could still be harsh when it needed to be), or how the Third Reich rarely if ever intentionally killed Western Jewish POWs (a pragmatic decision that was very much the exception to the rule). In terms of class, I’m either lumpen or lumpenproletarian; I have no military background and no petty bourgeois background (unless you count helping my mother with her microbusiness a handful of times), so the chances that I’d be neofascist today are pretty low.

This is the best report that anybody’s ever written on me.
