One nice thing about the digital world is that it will be hard to look back at the American empire and say it was a just or benevolent empire.
That hasn’t been a problem for the internet so far, you can find the stuff, but you have to dig fairly deep. Sometimes I’ll randomly google a popular news event, like that in Bolivia with the coup last year. 99% of the search results were positive about Evo’s overhtrow. Something like ~40k twitter accounts popped up to support it too. As long as capitalists control media in the west, public opinion will remain staunchly anti-communist, even as we become homeless, die of preventable illnesses, and starve.

I’m not downplaying this, I mean that it’s basically what a liberal would say because a conservative would be too proud about this shit; they would never admit to any of this.
But liberals, I’ve seen, are well aware of stuff like this… and accept it. Oh sure, not all, but I’ve seen this sort of thing.
