Real talk: if you have access to a public community center run by your city that has a gym, it’s almost always better than a private gym. I’m super glad to have one in walking distance and from my personal experience it’s both cheaper, has the option pay per session, pre-buying tickets that can be stored for later, or a monthly pass, similar to public transit’s pricing model as opposed to the typical private gym membership model; and (IMO) has a way more friendly and less judgemental workout environment.
