Not really. She said on IG that she wants to break boundaries, and still feels both USian and Chinese. She also said she wants to inspire Chinese girls to become athletes like she was inspired in the USA. No word on her passport statuses.

I read that the choice was made when she was 15. At that age considering how heavily involved parents are in the lives of prominent young athletes, her parents must have had heavy influence in the choice so I guess it makes sense that she is not very vocal about it.
