The consequences of these terrorist directives include drownings of adults and children; a miscarriage by a pregnant woman caught in the wire; serious lacerations suffered by children and adults from the barbed wire; and children, among others, passing out from heat exhaustion, but then pushed back into the river by Texas National Guard soldiers.

…wow.

The US has been “fascist” since its inception. Since before the ideology of fascism was formalized, the US was still the prototype. It’s simply just changed flavors every now and then.

I def agree but I’ve used “proto-fascist” in conversation in the past and it tends to not go over well. I’ve recently been tying it to the end of the second world war because the US essentially took the torch from Germany. So like our current flavor developed after the war.

Just in the past in mixed groups of people. I’ve used it around friends and had to explain it. I didn’t mean “not go over well” in any sort of catastrophic way lol.
