I am not talking about the gameplay. Since I have never played any Armored Core games I have no opinion on it.

But looking at the cutscenes, the animations, the graphics etc. this is by far the best mech game I have ever seen. I might try the game when it comes out if I have the money to spare.

    I played a few of the Armored Core games and if you like giant mech battles and virtually endless customization and loadouts than that is this. One of the coolest things with the pvp aspect was that it was ground and air combat. Like you can fly around and stuff.

    I used to main a super light mech with a big as railgun on it’s shoulder and a giant laser rifle. Huge damage output and super fucking quick. Could outmaneuver just about anything. His name was Cold War lol.

    My cousin and I used to play the hell out of armored core back in the PS1 days. It looks like they’ve done a good job of modernizing it, although I wonder how many people who have only played elden ring will try this out thinking it’s similar and end up disappointed.

    I remember when it was first announced they were doing interviews and sounded kind of annoyed when all of the journalists kept asking stuff like “will this have souls combat? will this play like elden ring?” and the devs had to explain it was a very different series.

      They have shown a lot of gameplay so far. At this point if someone expects souls combat that’s on them.

      I never thought Elden Ring would have the mass appeal that it did. Armored Core could surprise us too.

      From what I’ve seen of the checkpoint system it probably won’t be that bad difficulty wise, they also removed several of the ways you could lose in previous titles

              You buy parts for your mech using currency. In the older games, it you died too many times, your bank balance could go in the negative signifying you owe money. If the debt went past a certain limit you were forced to participate in the Human+ program where they enhance you to become a better mech pilot at the cost of you humanity.

      I don’t mind difficulty honestly. I struggle with FromSoft games but never saw the difficulty as a negative.
