I was going to recommend tyrant until I I read that second paragraph, fukin obsidian, only they could half ass 2/3 routes in the game an make it better than half the RPGs I play
Lmao, look the Nigerian civil war, weirdest alliances of the cold war because of oil

Why do you hate rap? Care to discuss?

Real IRA vindicated, provos in shambles ;_;

I think you’re on the right track and each plurb sees itself as a cell in a greater organism. The individuals are definitely rewritten, it’s why they are all chipper now, share memories, and cannot lie. I think that was the point of the Indian family’s son answering specific medical knowledge (if he was his own individual he should have no opinion on spatula material). I also think that despite Carol being a terrible miserable person the show runner thinks that individuality is what makes us human and worth living.
Edit: replaced value judgement with a more neutral word

Payday is mostly what you’re describing, payday 2 is still alive (25k daily players)
It’s more focused on the action, but there is a planning phase (of which there is a well defined meta), and light class mechanics

Retire?
I’ll have to give that book a read. The argument I remember* (for england & the Netherlands) was that the soil quality was poor compared to the rest of Europe. The landowners in both states turned to trade, first as a supplement but eventually whole hog.
**Also mildly surprised we didn’t read this book, seems just as relevant as Daemonologie /hj
Why did colonialism begin:
The crusades were a shared experience for Europe of going on a foreign land and taking over (also proto racism)
Crusades reintroduced the silk road to western Europe The black death created the conditions for ending feudalism and start proto capitalism
The growing bourgeoisie did not want to pay the ottomans and other Muslim nations in order to trade with China/India so they began looking for other routes
Portugal tarted by attempting to circumnavigate Africa (surprisingly difficult)
An Italian(?) dumbass (Columbus) messed up the diameter of the earth and tried a straight shot across the Atlantic
Turns out Mexico has literal gold, the Caribbean and Brazil have powder gold (sugar)
Why did Europe begin to dominate:
America’s were devastated by disease
Incan/Aztec empires lacked the same knowledge of metalworking
The wealth (silver mostly) from the Americas let Europe gain favorable trade deals in India & China
Notably this trade was primarily initiated by Europe China/India are blessed in natural resources and only really needed money
Because the interactions are one way Europeans and in position to take advantage of weakened nations in a way they were immune to
Why Africa happened late:
Malaria, just like how European diseases ravaged the Americas, malaria ravaged any attempt of European colonization. Trade deals with locals was much more economical.
You missed weaving wicker furniture
Percentages are multiplicative, not addative, so if you go down 50 and then up 50 (or vice versa) you end up at 75% of the original value.
Equation would be original value * (1 + % ÷ 100)
So if we start with 1, 1 * (1-50/100) = .5 .5 * (1+50/100) =.75
In simplified fractions, 1 * 1/2 * 3/2= 3/4

What world do you live in and how do I immigrate to it

I don’t think theyd align with China either. The whole point of he EU was to maintain defacto independence during the cold war. If anything I expect them to invest more into ECOWAS and possibly try to stabilize + integrate Libya into their order.
Memphis wishes

China will

Can we do it without the reddit/skeptic community this time?
Stg those people made me cringe more than the Christians demanding I go to church
I would argue that even an unbiased news source would still have bias on the basis of what stories they cover, it’s not like newspapers can be omniscient
