I was like 16 or so and was walking around town with my friends, as teens do. A good while into our adventure an old lady started yelling at us from her porch about how we shouldn’t be just walking around, we give her the finger and just keep going. We were on a road with no turns off for a while and just suburbs on both sides of the road, the kinda place where you’re practically forced to go one way, about 15 minutes after walking away from the woman a cruiser started trailing us, driving just behind us. stopping when we stopped, speeding up when we sped, we turned at the first available turn into a park and decided it would be a good time to sit a minute. The cruiser rested by the curb for a few minutes before another cruiser showed up, a few seconds later we had four officers walking towards us, asking us to show our hands and stand up. The officers searched the three of us, handcuffed us, then made us sit on the curb while they did the radioing and computering. As it turns out, they got a call that “five armed men” were “harassing the neighborhood”, and decided three dumb teenagers were who they were looking for. Three obviously non-threatening teenage boys.
