From what we’ve been seeing here, it seems more to have solidified support for Khamenei and the IRGC. Trust in the west and western liberalism seems like it would have hit rock bottom.

I don’t know much about Iranian politics, but Jalili did seem preferable to me in the last election because of the more defensive stance he had to the US. From what I was watching, Pezeshkian didn’t seem to play much of a role. Araghchi felt like he was running the show a lot more than anyone else. I don’t know much about his politics; does not seem like he has any trust in western institutions at this point.

No actually. Liberals have gotten power and the people are angry at the government because they consider this a total capitulation: Iranians genuinely wanted to raze Israel to the ground and what did we get? Bombed to shit and Israel is still there

The IRGC power axis has waned significantly, Khamenei is the last ounce of hardliner stance and when he is dead or replaced, liberal reforms start pouring in

I am gazing at USSR 1991 levels of fuckening in my country and I don’t like it

Fuck. That’s bleak. Not sure if it’s a good time or a bad time to demand resignations and shake up government. Shitrael will surely take advantage of it either way.

We even have our own Gorby the Hutt and so on. If Pezeshkian climbs a tank atleast it’d be funny

If possible, could you write what are their politics that they wish to push?

Is it similar to the ones written here -> https://lemmygrad.ml/post/7854832 ? (context that is a comparison of politics submitted by Gorbachev and their ilk in the USSR)

These people are from the Rafsanjani school of liberal economics, in other words some of the most corrupt, ghoulish, insane libs. Bunch of “Chicago school” fucks.

They don’t believe in social conservatism like a lot of hardline libs in the west, they are full-on Javier Milei pilled in economics and kind of French pilled in terms of social issues. And I shit you not they actually have quite a bit of support for their “social liberalism” line.

They have been eroding public institutions for a LONG time now, gradually destroying them and then privatizing them ( I think it was either Khatami or mamooty who really pushed privatization as even a concept ) then getting rid of all the employee amenities and such.

They are also huge lovers of selling off government assets to NatBourg wholesale, who are usually ( not suspiciously at all ) their relatives or people in their circle.

Another thing they have a hard on for is destroying Iranian social safety nets: They WILL destroy the national infrastructure plans, the national insurance, the national healthcare etc. the MOMENT they get the power.

In fact, through their network of corrupt financial institutions and private banks which they managed to instate after winning the power struggle in the early days they have already amassed massive wealth and power especially in the infrastructure sector.

And even this is not enough. They will not stop until they create a truly 1991 USSR scary hyper liberal privatized society of slaves working for them.

AND WE VOTED THESE FUCKS INTO OFFICE, JUST END ME RIGHT NOW FFS

Well, that sounds bad but I am confident that you as well as the Iranian people will not let that happen.

You, Iranians, are strong people and plenty of the world trust that you will all create a better path than this neoliberal one which is the worst path of all(a path well known to plenty of us in the global south). You all know how to defeat these neoliberals and I trust that you will defeat them again. The real power is not the money but the masses that are now emboldened by anti-imperialist sentiment.

Wish you the best. Cheers from Mexico.
