    Here’s the issue with your sign: I don’t believe them ‘brainwashed’ or ‘especially naive’. I believe them willfully evil; and willfully ignorant. A horse might be led to water, but you’ll drown it before it drinks these days.

      You didn’t read the article then. A point it makes is that the western masses aren’t just brainwashed, they willfully buy in. A USian sees an article demonizing China is made to feel good about his own status quo.
