I always wonder what exactly westerners see when they watch the movie “Independence Day”, or “War of the Worlds”. Invaders come to their homes with the intention of killing them all and taking their resources. They respond by indiscriminately killing the invaders, and this is seen as a good thing. Why can they not empathise with actual real life examples?
