I remember reading a while ago that the people with the skills and degrees to work these chip fab jobs are getting peeled off to just write javascript for the same or greater pay and a fraction of the effort too. You can’t even just try to break these labor aristocrats because they will just write javascript instead. And the javascript developers shit out labor discipline software. So just like cops they get disproportionate pay to everyone around them for protecting capital.
