I really doubt that. Unless you are an Ultra in which case I am not surprised that you argue about these things the way that you do.

If you claim to be a socialist yet think Horseshoe theory is valid you either do not know what socialism is or rather you think that Social Democracy is a form of socialism. In which case I highly encourage you to read books about the subject from writers like Lenin, Marx, Engels, Mao, and many more before you claim to be a socialist. Otherwise you might just end up confusing a whole lot of socialists.
I bet at this point he thinks national socialism (Nazism) is also socialism. I have met such people, often they are corrupt anarchists or right libertarians. In this case though I am unsure.
I do not think you need to make it more clear what type of socialist you are. I recommend you stay out of politics, honestly. It is not your thing. Of course if you get good with facts and cleanse your mind of disinformation and propaganda eaten up over the years, you can debate well.
