Also I wouldn’t see a problem if in China TikTok (douyin) was pushing educational content; Canada has something similar in that Canadian made media is prioritized, but it’s not censorship or brainwashing. It sucks that the American algorithm doesn’t favour educational content but that’s more of a you problem, my TikTok is a pretty good mix of education, animal videos, gay stuff, and art. Sucks to suck.
