I recently stopped watching porn after doing some reading on proletarian/marxist feminism. This article in particular was really good imo: https://proletarianfeminist.medium.com/a-socialist-feminist-and-transgender-analysis-of-sex-work-b08aaf1ee4ab

I was wondering if anyone else is in a similar boat? Porn is a powerful drug and it can be really difficult to give it up if you’re addicted (which I am unfortunately). Is anyone willing to share their porn-free journey and give some advice and tips?

i mean it’s not exactly a mistery. We are sexual beings, the orgasm releases a lot of feel-good chemicals and we are hardwired to chase things that make us feel good. It’s both something inherently addictive and something tied into our very psychology.

it’s like not being able to wrap up your head on how and why people eat fast food even though it’s unhealthy. Both our bodies and minds respond positively to it, that’s all

I hate that comparison to food, you can live about a week without eating, you can live forever without sex.

        ‘’ We are sexual beings’’

        Not even close lol.

Alienate the fuck out of people such that forming any relationship, let alone a healthy one, is difficult; maintain social relations that subjugate women to make them sex objects; and condition the populace to seek instant sensual gratification to maintain constant consumption, and the widespread appeal of porn makes much more sense.
