    My problem with “made in China” stems from the fact that we have been so conditioned by consumerism that we have basically ruined the potential for quality.

    The only way for more high-quality products is to consume less.

      Oh well, if that’s what you mean then yes. Enshitificatiom is totally a thing and applies to physical products all the same (though with different factors involved) and the companies that are designing the products (China of course builds basically whatever you ask them to), they for sure have been designing crappier products over time because that’s cheaper.

      It’s like a full-time job trying to research for high-quality products.
