I knew it was Ukraine the second I read “a country is being invaded”. That’s literally the only country that’s been invaded recently that they ever care about. They also have a very facetious formulation of that sentence “being invaded and bombed to the ground”. I’ve watched this conflict very closely from the get-go. The screengrab showed why the invaded virtue signal pearl clutching is wrong so I’ll address another part.

The bombing to the ground is happening in some areas, however those areas are that way as the result of Ukro bombing campaigns, not Russian. Russia fights differently than the west. As a western-born person, I have been advocating for carpet bombing the front line where the nazis were (not when they were hiding behind the citizenry, just architecture) for months and every time Russians insisted on strategic artillery fire and missile strikes instead saying it’s how each side fights. I’m not surprised that the person in the screengrab as well as myself thought of carpet bombing first as it’s what we were taught in the west by US bourgeois propaganda. When one sees pictures of areas Russia has hit, it looks like swiss cheese, very spotty. Areas Ukraine hit (earlier on when they had more capabilities) were just rubble, as Ukronazis were trained by NATO and these are NATO tactics.

Russia has rebuild the damage from both sides in the new Russian regions and some places in Mariupol look better than they did before. Brand new housing towers and schools for examples.

A country is being invaded. Thye have been bombed by a dictatorial regime and are targeting civilians. I am talking of course of Yemen.
