maybe after that absolute dipshit demon Reagan beat him he went behind Satan’s back and cut a deal to double cross the devil. God lets him live to 100 years old, he lets him live to see Kissinger rot in piss, and in return he just wants a fair trial after his death where his life full of sins, most of all as president, are weighed against the next 50 years he will spend trying to do positive things in the world.

I wonder if he’s compos mentis. Somebody tweeted it was “touching” and included an embed of Carter in a wheelchair being pushed into the room where his wife’s funeral service was. At first I though it was heavy sarcasm. Even though the camera was very far away and the resolution was low - Carter didn’t look like a person - he looked like a mannequin with a shocked mouth stuck open expression wrapped in cozy blankets going on a wheelchair ride.
