USSR helped Afghanistan put people into space, then CIA decided to start arming and funding extremists there to turn it into what it is today. Your country is responsible for the horrors in Afghanistan and many other places in the world. The people of US who allow their government to carry out these atrocities are directly responsible for this.
The USSR also staged a coup in 1979 and installed a loyalist. To attack the Mujahideen, they bombed villages to the ground. They also laid millions of land mines. The USSR was every bit involved in screwing up Afghanistan as the US has been. And at least the US was fighting to build the country instead of bomb it into the ground.
