TikTok is still owned by ByteDance. Trump made an absurd attempt to ban it and/or force them to sell it, but he got effectively laughed out of court.

ByteDance graciously agreed to physically host it on Oracle Cloud, so that the US can have unfettered access to all the data too, but it is still completely owned and controlled by ByteDance.
