Not surprising when teachers actively teach that slaves were often treated with kindness. I remember having an entire class discussion where the teacher was praising the slave owners in a picture showing slaves having a bbq.
I also remember in high school our world history teacher often screamed at students who disagreed with his particular politics, which included 2nd Amendment worship and War on Drugs praise (so you know his 2nd Amendment didn’t cover minorities).
I remember having a resource officer (cop in a school) who broke one student’s shoulder for refusing to leave class when the teacher told him too (he was black) and busted open the head of another for saying “fuck you” to the pig after the pig told him he couldn’t eat after he cut in line.
I remember a group of students being super pissed and punching walls and shit after we elected a “n****r president” (their words).
