Do you think it would be better to try and read a chapter and then listen to the podcast, or to first listen to the podcast and then read a chapter? Am I going to get spoiled?
That’s actually how these book reviews are supposed to be used. Sparknotes for example. They’re not designed to be a trailer or a pre-lesson, they intended it to be a summary and discussion for after you’ve already read the book once, but still have lingering questions and things you don’t understand. But obviously every high school and college student just reads the Sparknotes thinking it’s a substitute for reading the actual book, as opposed to being a supplement (that is totally a self own BTW, I did this).
