Example: Brushing twice a day or picking up a book and reading for five minutes then progressing each day.

Do a sport or exercise of some kind. I’ve never been an athletic person and the idea of doing a competitive sport was out of the question for me. Last year though my friend talked me into doing lacrosse, and although it was kind of scary and I sucked at it, I think it changed me quite a bit. I’m doing cross country ATM and I enjoy it even more. Just getting to know more people by itself is great, much better than staying home playing video games (something I never thought I’d say). The real improvement is actually getting exercise. Pushing yourself may hurt and it’ll feel like you want to stop, but having teammates to do it with always makes you go the extra mile. Even though it takes time and effort, I feel much better about myself and feel physically better than if I stayed home and relaxed.

This is coming from the perspective of a high schooler btw. I know this advice is common but you never realize how true it is until you do it. If you’re really adamant about not doing a sport then I suggest running. You only need water and shoes so there is hardly any commitment. It’s also a mostly individual sport so you don’t have to worry about keeping up with other people.
