Tbh half of the movies I love best are arthouse/arthouse horror because I’m insufferable: -mother! -Hereditary -The Lighthouse -VVitch -Midsommar

I also like war movies (Fury), animated/kids movies (Emperor’s New Groove), high effort period pieces (VVitch again), dramas, and psychological/thrillers. I should be the biggest sucker for adventure, sci fi and fantasy but I just haven’t seen a high volume of ones I really love and remember (besides big franchises we all know). Really when it boils down to it I can and will watch any movie though, especially if it’s good.

My #1 GOAT is probably The Lighthouse as of right now, if I had to say just one.

No! But reading your comment that sounds awesome! The thing I liked about Fury was how it didn’t glorify war, I noticed there’s not one single American flag the entire film which sounds like a low bar but to me was impressive. I’d love to see more WW2 movies from the Soviet perspective, almost all that I’ve seen were American perspective. Thanks for the recommendation!

Definitely still an American war movie, but it’s entertaining and harrowing for sure. The very last scene really sums it all up pretty well. I think (might be wrong) it’s on Netflix.

Also thank you again for the Come and See recommendation!!
