It’s poverty larping. In my homecountry they have this show in which they make a rich family and a poor family switch lives for a week. The rich families, after this week, are soooooo understanding of the poor people all of a sudden. They don’t. They know it will be over in a week. They don’t know what it’s like to live in stress everyday because you don’t know if you will have enough money to feed your kids this month. They don’t know what it’s like to just pray nothing breaks in your house or car because you can’t afford it. They don’t know what it’s like to be hungry.

Being poor is an aesthetic to them. It’s sickening.
