I own several thinkpads. Still, I’m completely disillusioned with modern computer companies. Hardware as something you own has probably never existed as the NSA has always sought to ensure that major chip manufacturers produce products that are secretly accessible to them. Attempts to mitigate these backdoors have been numerous, and while admirable, appear to have been a placeholder for the actual mitigation introduced by the new RISC-V architectures, which are chip products produced beyond the purview of major manufacturers. Once this tech becomes widespread, we may see the development of holes in the NSA dragnet, but even that is hard to predict as their access to advanced tech and spying techniques makes them appear all-powerful within their jurisdiction.
I agree. He forgot to add “uwu”. Unforgivable.

Europe has already had to buy Russian oil from India, because sanctions kept them from buying it directly. All they’re doing is making fools of themselves by following orders from the US and imposing sanctions.

If this happens, the best way to see it is as an act of fate. The stars have aligned around Trump. After Jan 6 the GOP could’ve ended his political career, but instead focused on avoiding blame, which served to further normalize him. The mainstream media viewed him as being good for ratings, which allowed for his rise to office in 2016. Lastly there’s the economy, which may go into a recession some time this year. If this were to happen, Biden, who is already incredibly unpopular, will have no means to maintain his position as president. Americans are hustlers at heart, and Trump is the most famous and prolific conman alive today.
