I have been pondering these ideas. I am not saying they are right, I just want other’s thoughts on them. I am not against psychedelics, so wondering how they could be used since they were a big part of the CIA’s MKULTRA program.
There is an idea that the CIA helped the Nicaraguan Contras ship cocaine to start the crack epidemic to take weaken black resistance like the Black power movement.
There is another idea that psychedelics was used to pacify college students instead of having radical anti-war activists that they would create Hippies.
Well, this was not just an idea but a whole investigation that proved to be true by the journalist Gary Webb. He sheds light on this through this interview:

Do you also know about the Danny Casolaro and The Octopus/ Inslaw Affair? I know about it for awhile and it hit somewhat mainstream because of Netflix. That event was connected to Contra-Iran and helped expose the Bank of Credit and Commerce International (BCCI)
I haven’t read about Danny Casolaro or the Inslaw affair but it seems that both of these journalist(Danny and Gary) were “suicided”. Sadly, all of these shady system done by the imperialist continue to this day and the most recent fiasco regarding a similar phenomenon was also exposed with this other author.
