I can barely even begin to describe how much I loathe U.S. soldiers, but I can’t tell if it is their training that either attracts or creates their toxicity (probably both).

That said, I have no familiarity with military training in other countries. Therefore, I’ve quietly assumed that it must be the same everywhere, especially since I’ve seen people explain the drill instructors’ attitudes as necessary because combat is stressful as well as unforgiving, so recruits need to become desensitized to stress and cruelty. (For some reason, U.S. Air Force instructors employ this method significantly less than Marine Corps instructors do.)

So, how does the PLA’s training program differ from the U.S. Army’s? I am assuming that the PLA’s must be better and its troops less conservative, but otherwise I don’t know what to expect.
