because billboard was paid to put it on there. it means nothing and its just a way for corporations to normalize the idea that these “artists” are legitimate and that anyone is actually listening to them (they’re not)
yeah the lesson here isn’t that AI is good at pop music it’s that radio pop music has been unensouled for like at least 3 decades by now. Doesn’t really matter if they use AI, that’s genuinely just speeding up the process
or most music is formulaic and we’ve reached a point where anything new will sound like something that already exists. I dont believe that “real” pop music only existed 30+ years ago.
