Yankees have been in total denial for decades. They assumed China was still in the Qing era.
Nahh they’re in the KING era. (But not actually, because they’d know what to do with a king…)
make him clean up shit off the street of his former palace while otherwise letting him live like a normal guy and he falls in love with a nurse
So ebil
It’s just that we hit the point where it’s no longer possible to maintain the narrative that the US is ahead.
I mean a lot of the wealth/power is held by people stuck in the 1950s. So yes.
Lmao “peer rival”. Like others have said, China should be offended to be referred to as a ‘peer’ or America, and laugh at the idea of America as a ‘rival’.
“Oh look I’m at a track meet and the racist asshole with rich parents, who constantly shoots themself in the foot, is my competition in the hurdles! Oh they just took their spikes off because they’re “not based”, and fired their hurdle coach because “they know how to jump and run the best of anybody. Big jumps!” And now they’ve taken the starter pistol, loaded in a live round, and blown their big toe to kingdom come. However they’re now technically standing at the starting line, seemingly able to race. Wow. What a peer rivalry.”
Indeed, it’s really funny way to frame China basically smacking the US down and telling them how it’s gonna be.
Ngl im sick of American politicians calling China a rival and an enemy and idk why China doesn’t make a bigger stink about it
They’re not a rival and they’re definitely not an enemy! They’re a close ally and our biggest trading partner! The only thing making them an enemy is you calling them one!
China is a communist country.
Billionaires and their lap-dog politicians see communism as the enemy.
rare instance of bad journalism taking the form of active voice in the headline. china did not emerge as a peer rival. the yanKKKee government simply decided it was one
let’s pretend I bothered to label the guy celebrating as “USA”

Who is 2nd?
uhhhh [cmon, think fast] … Chinese Taipei
i’m imagining fanfares, curtain rises, behind is xi with a podium with a big button on it. he presses the button. the camouflage nets fall from all the factories in china, everyone quickly rolls out their electric cars from disguised garages, the turbines spin up, the computers boot, etc.
china has revealed itself!
