    I think it says a lot about Lenin himself and his achievements (along with his comrades and the Russian masses) that the liberals have been unwilling or unable to give him this posthumous treatment.

      IIRC they tried to do that to Marx until Lenin prevented this by making it a Problem with the establishment of the USSR posing an actual threat

      I’m not sure about that. I still regularly hear liberals and leftcoms whitewashing Lenin and claiming that he would have hated everything the USSR became after his death.

      It’s less common than trying to portray Marx as an anarchist, but it still happens.

    Chuds used to call MLK Jr. a communist during his time, now they try to claim him as one of their own by saying he was a Republican who was murdered by the left.
