anybody have any recommendations for something like this? i’m looking for things similar to Parenti’s lecture on the assassination of Caesar. i.e. Marxist discussions of broader history rather than just more recent socialist events.

Some of my favorite marxist history books:
- CLR James - The Black Jacobins
- J. Sakai - Settlers: the Mythology of the White Proletariat, audiobook
- John Reid - The Ten Days that Shook the World
- Huey P. Newton - Revolutionary Suicide
- Eduardo Galeano - Open Veins of Latin America
- Fidel Castro - My Life
- Joshua Bloom - Black Against Empire
- Parenti - Blackshirts and Reds
Unfortunately, I think J. Sakai is an anarchist now…
Sigh
Now I just read Gerald Horne…
(And you all should too just so you know!)
