My favorite are the soldiers that fought for the liberation of Namibia and Angola at the end of the Cold War.
I must admit, I know close to nothing about the Namibia and Angola… Can you link any sources I could read to inform myself?
White Supremacy Confronted by Gerald Horne is something I’m reading right now which touches on this. Aside from that: I read a book once about the war in Angola waged by the communist guerrillas. Unfortunately, I forgot its name… But it talked extensively about the support that Cuba gave to Angola and Namibia in particular to the communists there in Africa.
