Bro’s never heard of critical support.
I mean, yes I have qualms with Russia, their anti-LGBT rhetoric on RT, the civilian deaths in this war, I could go on, but to try to do a neither sides thing isn’t useful. This isn’t WW1, where the ultimate aim of basically everyone involved is not worthwhile for the average person, this war is anti-Fascist at its core, therefore of interest to the average person in the area. We can complain about Russia all we want, (and we should give reasonable criticisms) but wouldn’t we be hypocrites if we praised victory over Fascism in the past and then suddenly switch over to say “well capitalists defeating Fascists is bad”? Like where do these people stand when it comes to the Western Front? I personally feel that the USA was right to join in against the Japanese, Italians and Germans (they should’ve joined ww2 earlier, granted, but as the old saying goes “better late than never”) despite the obvious fact that the USA is fucked up, especially during the 40s. Them being capitalists, and a lot more conservative ones at that, compared to modern-day Russia seems like the obvious solution would be to support Russia against Fascist Ukraine.
I myself have critical support the PRC. My main qualms are that sometimes their censorship of media (specifically blood in video games) is unreasonable - “unreasonable” doesn’t include the desexualization of women in anime - and lackluster LGBT progress.
As for me I don’t like that they ended zero covid abruptly and with almost no warning or adjustment period
