Haven’t heard much about it

I haven’t watched all of it but I’ve liked what I’ve seen so far. From the handful of episodes I’ve seen it seems like they’re taking old episodes and rebooting them. They’re not carbon copies of the old episodes but they take the general plot and make some tweaks to the story and freshen it up. I’ve enjoyed what I’ve seen.

I watched the first season when it came out and remember thinking that about half of the episodes were good. Just looked it up now and realized that it got a second season, I had assumed it was canceled after one.

For modern sci-fi anthology shows I would recommend “Dimension 404” and “Misfits & Monsters”, both of those had a fun Twilight Zone vibe.

If you haven’t seen it, check out “Weird City”

I think it has some relationship to Jordan Peele, and its really fun.

I watched two episodes. I hated it. This is my note for the second episode.

The original “Nightmare at 20,000 Feet” is a simple, scary story. This remake was clumsy and the narration was horrible. Two fundamental rules of narration were broken. One, use as little as possible and two, the narrator should have a good voice. The “podcast narration” droned on and on and I hated the guy’s voice. He sounded like a hack comedian doing a bad impression of a young Danny DeVito. I checked who it was and it turned out Jordan Peele. Fuck me.

I liked it, as with any anthology some episodes are much better than others. It’s not without flaws but it’s worth watching
