In general? Warmongering. Just trying to claim there’s this ‘axis’ of sorts of ‘evil’ states (that are all coincidentally aligned against the US and its interests FOR NO REASON AT ALL. DO NOT LOOK INTO IT ANY FURTHER!) all working against an American… proxy, I guess. A government the US couped the predecessor of and supported the instatement of afterwards.
On here? It’s just an annoying bit of BS the government and media are pushing that has zero evidence to support it. So it’s the standard manufacturing of consent.
To fuel the warmongering? Starting/instigating/participating in conflicts has always temporarily solved the empires problems. It would be odd if they stopped now.
