I finally got around to reading that Esperanza article I see shared here a lot and it was enlightening, but there are some ridiculous hot takes in the comments.

    So his issue with sex work is that prostitutes are getting paid and not that people in desperation have to have sex with people they don’t want to in order to survive.

    They seem like they are frustrated at the cost of hiring a prostitute more than any humane concern.
