    Similar vibes of Christian fundies:

dean-frown “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only.”

dean-malice “If enough atrocities are done, we can forcibly start Revelations and that’d be fucking awesome!”

W used this specific thing, Gog and Magog, to try to get Chirac to bring France into his invasion of Iraq.

It’s not just similar vibes it’s literally the same exact brainworm.

Honestly i have the feeling that the entire War of the First Council was a very heated rpg session some people really had

Yeah i play rpgs for over 30 years by now and i can recall only one single character of mine that ever killed another player character, and multiple ones at that, they were just coming and dying for stupid reasons. I played Scorpion bushi in L5R. I also honorably poisoned crap load of PC’s and NPC’s. Ultimately they didn’t even get a revenge, we were all done by a new player who came to a first session and said something about wiping his ass with their daimyo face to a large group of Lion warriors.

For some reason i got reminded of that when thinking about Tribunal.

Gog & Magog? hmm nah, I gotta go with

But seriously, this shit has permeated america since the invasion of Iraq. I remember good little indoctrinated chudlings in like middle school talking about “terrorist countries” representing this prophetic bullshit. The country is truly irredeemable, and it’s undeniable when you get an up close look at how this prophesy driven death cult has willingly made their children yearn for global destruction.

It’s probably been going on longer than Iraq, too. Christian fundamentalists have been trying to trigger the apocalypse for a long time. It’s sacrilege (God doesn’t need your help deciding when or where he wants to end the world), though that won’t stop reactionaries from getting us all killed.

It’s the culmination of their efforts since Reagan. And in combination with that, they’ve made great strides to spread their fundamentalism across the developing world. It’s quite literally a poison.

    Bush, Gog and Magog

Just when you thought it couldn’t get crazier, a well-sourced story claims Bush invaded Iraq because of Bible prophecies

    Mon 10 Aug 2009

Here’s a story we should all be ashamed of missing: George W Bush attempted to sell the invasion of Iraq to Jacques Chirac using biblical prophecy.

Here’s yesterday’s article (from their OMG section: “Oh my gosh! News that causes you to pause, express shock, excitement or disbelief - weird news, crazy news, fun news.”) , but it looks like they publish an article every time someone mentions Magog:

Joel Rosenberg, an end-times author, and editor-in-chief of All Israel News, known for his analyses of Middle Eastern politics and biblical prophecies, speculated that we might be in the early stages of the Gog and Magog war. During November, he outlined scenarios where Israel’s recent military actions could either lead to a period of peace or signal the beginning of this prophesied war. Rosenberg commented, “Scenario two is that we are in the early stages of Gog and Magog. I’m not saying that we are because things that aren’t in the text are happening right now.”

    Oh, okay.
