Apparently, he didn’t get that close before he was caught in the bushes at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago golf course. Shots were fired, but it might have just been shots between Secret Service and him. The shooter was caught after a camera picked up his license plate after somebody took a picture of his car as he was fleeing.
I really don’t get these guys. They’re just so incompetent. Like the very least they could do is avoid anything identifiable like a license plate, you’d think they’d steal a car or something and set up a safehouse to flee to. Or if they want the full matyrdom thing, go in guns blazing with the biggest, nastiest weapon they can get their hands on, or even full on killdozer or something.
They say he is a “threat to American democracy” or whatever, but even attempted assassins don’t seem to seriously believe that, let alone the libs who will #thoughtsandprayers all over this.
