Translation:

Long live the Ukrainian National Revolution!
Long live the Revolution and the freedom of all peoples enslaved by Moscow!
Long live the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN) and its leader Stepan Bandera!

[The leaflet’s illustration in the middle shows a Judeo‐Bolshevik caricature, pointing with one hand to a pile of papers, and holding in the other hand a pistol to the head of a nervous Ukrainian writer, who’s sitting down in front of the papers. The writer’s lips are literally sealed together with a key lock that bears a red star.]

In the Ukrainian SSR, the following is guaranteed by law:
a) freedom of speech, b) freedom of the press.
(Article 124 of the Constitution of the Ukrainian SSR).

(Spotted in Grzegorz Rossoliński-Liebe’s Stepan Bandera: The Life and Afterlife of a Ukrainian Nationalist, page 186.)

Wow! I’m sure that very strange design for the Soviet officer wasn’t intentional at all! I’m perfectly sure it isn’t supposed to mirror another country’s propaganda regarding a certain religious group! There’s definitely a perfectly reasonable explanation why the officer has curly hair, big lips, an exaggerated nose, and other exaggerated ugly features!

While the poor little Ukrainian just so happens to have straight blond hair, angular chiseled features and high strong aryan cheekbones… interesting…
