Given the apologetics they engage in whenever a Ukrainian soldier is photographed with some fascist imagery on their uniform, I’m not so sure about that.

Saw Gerrera was right, the “New Republic” was just as dysfunctional as the old and was easily crushed by the fascists they spared for civility reasons.

        Saw Gerrera

I don’t even know what part of the franchise this screenshot is from but holy shit, could that name be any more on the nose?

Like who was Saw Gerrera fighting against as the primary antagonist?
        Randolph Hissler or something?

I can just imagine the writers spitballing a name:

What if we had a character whose name was like the guerrilla fighter Che Guevara?

Excellent idea!! Gueva—Guerri—Gerrera! We’ll call him Gerrera. And we can’t use the name Che so it’ll have to be something different.

        …how about Saw?

Perfect! No notes. Saw Gerrera it is!

It’s a screenshot from Andor, which is one of the few genuinely good, and radical pieces of Star Wars media to come out in a very long time. Please go watch it, it has a heist plot that was inspired by a passage in a biography of young Stalin, where he robbed banks to fund the Bolsheviks.

Voting is not some grand statement that defines who you are or what you believe, it is a lever of power to make the US better or worse. There are two choices un the upcoming election, one is clearly better. Biden is better. Voting for biden isn’t saying he’s the second coming, it pushing us the right direction (which is to the left) even if in a small way.

Biden is right wing. He has become more and more right wing. There is no pushing anything left.

Biden’s unwillingness to reign Israel in, even a LITTLE, has now led us to Iran retaliating against Israel for their bombing of the Iranian embassy.

Biden is now culpable for a genocide and probably a new war starting in the Middle East thru his overt support for genocide.

      Shut up.

Pray tell, what small way will Biden move left? What is his incentive if you already gave, as you mentioned, your lever of power away?

Maybe you can just conveniently silence the part of your brain that says that you’re backing someone supporting a genocide - or maybe that part of your brain just doesn’t scream as loudly as mine does - but I know for a fact that I wouldn’t ever be able to stop hating myself if I went out of my way to show support for someone as despicable as Biden.

How? The question is how is he to the left of Trump? There’s like 1 answer I’ll accept.

          He’s still building a wall

He’s increased ICE funding over Trump’s deranged levels

He’s been completely supportive of literally everything Israel is doing

          He let Roe be abolished

He’s letting all these laws crop up that chip away at LGBTQ preotections

He’s still increasing the military budget during peace

His AG got the right to indefinitely detain migrants

He did nothing about college debt

He did nothing about healthcare (oh a two percent modification to Obamacare, all fixed!)

His blithering stupidity about Israel led to Iran striking Israel after Israel bombed their embassy, potentially leading to another hot war

          He punted on COVID

Actually, he told states to use COVID funding to hire cops in response to a slight increase in property crime (and a decrease in violent crime, and we all know how good cops are at stopping property crime

          Your liberals ARE conservatives.

Voting is not some grand statement that defines who you are or what you believe

No one here thinks it is

it is a lever of power to make the US better or worse

No its not. The US is going to get worse regadless of who is president. US elections are a hollow ritual that gives the illusion of choice to the mass of people. Engaging with that ritual is an empty action that allows the unaware to believe they live in a democracy when they don’t.

Voting for biden isn’t saying he’s the second coming, it pushing us the right direction (which is to the left) even if in a small way.

Biden is not a step to the left in any imaginable scenario. The US gov only moves to the right. The parties function as a rachet effect.

We don’t need vote evangelists here. We do not support or accept bourgeois liberal democracy. Don’t worry, there aren’t enough of us to sway your hollow election so there is literally no reason to say they same dumb arguements you libs always say as if we’ve never heard them

The parties function as a ratchet effect.

Remembering when, instead of thinking of shifting their positions left, Hillary Clinton and the DNC purposefully supported more right-wing candidates in the GOP, including Trump, so they could be the “lesser evil.”

You do understand that here before October 7 the general opinion here was “Biden to the gulag, Trump to the wall” and now we’ve dropped our nice merciful opinions.

The US can’t be made better, only replaced with something better.
