Depends on the amount of guards you need, more than 4 and you definitely need a van to transport them all, although I would probably recommend getting a van at 3-4 already so that you can scale faster and they can transport more equipment. But gas mileage and insurance are more expensive than with carguardism.

As a package manager I don’t see why not? guix install foo and if it doesn’t work you can still flatpak it. As a distro, yeah largely agree, although I’m no power-user and know embarassingly little about guix but use it as a daily driver.

I use paperwm i think it pretty much defaults to what you want. the issue i had with i3 and such window managers is that they’re lacking everything else about laptops. Energy mode depending on battery state, or even basic warnings for example. Bluetooth, wifi etc. all need to be set up and maintained by yourself. Which to me became to annoying so I switched to gnome with paperwm and that rolling desktop really is something. I have never looked back.
