There is just something about how half arsed it is and how it’s presented as some sort of thought terminating got ya. As if a person from the 1950s not understanding modern day economics somehow means that all the things listed in the original comment aren’t a problem any more.
It’s one thing to say that about someone from the middle ages, but the 1950s? A bunch of those people are still alive even! Hell, some of them are even in charge of a lot of modern economies.
