So I’m complaining at work that my manager double ordered truck instead of teaching me how to put in the order, and she’s taken two vacations, cuz she lives with her son and can afford to, and I’m stuck in this shithole while my fam is 6 hours away, literally all my nephews and nieces, sibs, etc.

So then I get a call from my manager, WHO’S ON VACATION, telling me not to bad mouth her in front of customers. So either a customer or a coworker snitched on me for venting.

Fuck this nazi ass country amerikkka, people cant mind their own business.

Cool bug fact bug-facts the Third Reich germany-cool relied on this shit, snitching, to get their victims, the gestapo had far less agents than say the GDR GDR or the Soviets soviet-huff, they just relied on informants. Is this relevant? Idk but I’m pissed, watch your words

People be like “IN THE GDR 25% OF THE COUNTRY WERE INFORMANTS!” and it’s like oh cool when did you last call the fucking police, Brayden? Imagine living in a place where only 25% of the population snitched.

Counterpoint: just snitched on a coworker for joking about the new trans employee with really disgusting language. My work place is serious about their rainbow PR so It’s a rare treat when you can bring down the full weight of HR on a deserving target.

I managed to get one of my former managers and their assistant sent away to the sexual harassment gulag one time. When they came back they were even more vile. Was clear the company was backing them. Bigass company everyone has heard of too.

Snitching is like violence; whether it’s good or not is entirely dependent on context. Or was Boeing right to off that whistleblower for snitching?

“Snitches get stitches” is basically the lumpen version of libs detesting all violence no matter the reason.

Hopefully you just denied it. “I don’t know what you’re talking about” “I wouldn’t do that” etc. Force her to tell you how she heard, and then deny that too. “Oh yeah well my friend Mary was in the store and she said you said…” “She must have misheard I don’t know what you’re talking about, enjoy your vacation.” Unless she’s got you on voice recording or something just gaslight the shit out of bosses forever.

Imagine calling someone while they are vacation. Imagine someone on vacation still giving enough of a fuck to take time to do “work”.

That’s the parts that gets me heated. The idea that work is 24/7 365 for some people is beyond me.

Man I’ve been a manager before if somebody called me while I was on leave for anything less than an apocalyptic emergency I would chew them out (when I got back because I’m trying to enjoy my leave here).

The fact that you’re not supposed to complain about your stupid job at your stupid job makes me so mad. The puritan work ethic has truly poisoned multiple generations of workers. It’s really weird how you’re supposed to keep those thoughts to yourself.

If anything complaining about your stupid job at your stupid job should build rapport with your customers and coworkers. Anytime I hear an employee say “Oh jeez the system sure is slow today” (regardless if it’s true or not) I think this kat is a real human. It’s just a regular person thing to do. People complain, or get irked, or just don’t enjoy somethings sometimes. It’s normal, and I hate how they have mad it not normal. One can also complain without bugging out, which is good actually.

    The snitch mindset is terrible.

Recently while getting groceries there was issues with the POS system and I was apologized to by the cashier. I said ‘you didn’t build the machine and I’m certain they’re not training or paying you guys to fix it. Don’t worry about it.’. If I’m out buying shit I’m aware I’m in someone’s workplace and there is always something fucking up in any workplace and if not they still don’t wanna be there, I’m in their house so to speak and I should be a good guest. If I could leave the kitchen to tell certain tables this I’d love to.

It was the asshole bit also totally correct chef yhst trained Gordon Ramsay say basically this in an interview that made me never take shit from a customer giving me shit. There are genuine complaints, we fuck up, but if anyone is at all rude to the wait staff I wanna be able to boot em. Even a legit complaint should be addressed politely and I will ask how your fucking tone was to.thebesit staff when they report back and if you have attitude your remake is coming late as hell and I don’t want you back. We work pretty high quality shit and I am end of the line quality control and I call remakes cause things aren’t up to par pretty often, if it passes my exam your uninformed ass just doesn’t know food, asked for something you didn’t want or are at the wrong place. It’s expensive as hell and I know for certain whether its a genuine issue or you’re being a dick and we can serve 4 tables in the time it takes to deal with one asshole. It’d better for business for them never to come back.

Last night I was playing Blackjack and the dealer was about to make a mistake in my favor, and the fucking eighty year old narc sitting next to me pointed it out to him. It was only $15 you fascist the pit boss was never gonna know if you didn’t make it an issue. I bet back in the day you dimed your neighbors out for smoking “jazz cigarettes” to the House Unamerican Activities Committee.

complain about different things to different people to try to narrow it down, and IME never complain to/around customers cuz every customer is a snitch! (potentially anyway, they want free shit and will sell you out)

Are there any cameras around where you work? I have had jobs with small business tyrants who had camera with mics and would sit at home watching the cameras.

This dude who worked (very briefly) where I am thought this was the case because there are cameras and he got chewed out for massively fucking up easy shit and throwing out a lot of product. These cameras were not installed or operated by the business owner, they were put in when the building we rent the space in went up and if they’re even still connected to anything it would be the building owner or superintendent. It was just obvious cause of what was missing, what was in the trash and who was there. I won’t work under surveillance, I know they aren’t keeping an eye on us cause if they were I’d have been fired years ago.
