If socialist Philippines happens no doubt it will either be invaded, blockaded, or harassed. I am thinking of focusing thr country’s industry (or whatever us left of it) on shit like missiles, UAVs (yes, commie drones), laser weapons, and other naval and air defenses. What do you think? Or should I focus on infantry by establishing a Second Amendment?

As an island nation your primary threats are ship’s and aircraft, of you’re fighting an infantry war in your own country You’ve lost already

Anti-ship and anti-air missiles are my recommendation as they are fairly dollar efficient (dollars destroyed/dollars spent)

Developing a nuclear program would also deter invasion and save you from getting Gaddafi’d

Nuclear program will have to go last because Indonesia controls a big chunk of ship routes to the country, same with Australia. The Philippines withdrawing from the Non-nuclear Proliferation Treaty would be enough to send red flags to the rest of Southeast Asia. So for now, we would have to focus on rebuilding what little industry there is.

I would go with strengthening trade with Russia, China, Korea Venezuela, Cuba, Palestine and even Iran, Syria, Somaliland, Transnistria of all places.

You could use the Japanese Iwo Jima defense of luring in the enemy and massacring them while they’re bunched up and vulnerable in the opening stages of a landing operation.

Which is where a Second Amendment would come handy.

No it would not? The Iwo Jima defense relies on artillery and heavy machine guns.

Second amendment guns are laughable in a conflict.
