I would be surprised if Spain voted in favor, considering they already officially promote glorification of Francoism…

anytime there’s a UN res and the western nations don’t vote on it, you know the liberal dogs are trying to hide that they’d’ve voted on the option that people wouldn’t want, and they don’t want to have to explain to their countrymen why they voted the way they did.

In this case, it’s liberal politicians understanding that they’re driving their countries towards fascism, but also understanding that making that public knowledge will cause popular revolts in their countries. being ‘Abstent’ on the vote lets them sway the vote towards not passing, while giving them an out on why they didn’t help the vote pass. Literally all they have to do is make a vague anti-fascist statement when pressed by the public, and allude to not having enough time, or not knowing there was a vote, or whatever. (and the worst part is liberals eat that shit up.)
