Never watched or seen boondocks before but it rhe shared strips seemed extremely topical.
Yea they were competing against South Park at the time, if you weren’t topical and keeping up with current trends and major events, then it would be tough to make a good satirical point that resonated with people, really great show if you can understand some of the early-mid 2000s references
